WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest men's basketball graduate Ian DuBose has been selected to the Academic All-District Team. Wake Forest is the only school in the Atlantic Coast Conference to have a men's basketball player earn the distinction.
After missing two thirds of the season, DuBose started 10 of 11 games for the Demon Deacons and averaged 10.9 points and 4.6 rebounds in 24.5 minutes per game. He ranked second on the team in scoring and third in rebounding and minutes.
The 2020-21 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and the NAIA.
First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late May.
