Facioni Ready for NCAA Championships

EUGENE, Ore. – The ACC silver medalist, Zach Facioni will represent the Wake Forest track and field program at the NCAA Championships in the 5000-meter event at the historic Hayward Field on Friday night.

The Sydney, Australia native, is set to compete on Friday at 9:55 p.m. ET in the 5000-meter final. He punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships out of the NCAA East Prelims in Jacksonville, Fla. with a mark of 13:45.54 and a seventh-place finish.

This year, Facioni has rewrote the Wake Forest outdoor record book in the 1500-meter and 5000-meter events, he now carries the school record in both. In the 5000-meter, he ranks No. 16 in the whole country with a 13:30.84 mark.
