Eric Bae became the fourth Demon Deacon to earn academic honors from the conference four times in his career.
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Wake Forest men's golf, who is coming off a top-15 finish at the NCAA Championships in May, had three players named to the ACC All-Academic team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
For Eric Bae, this marks the fourth ACC All-Academic team honor in his career while Parker Gillam and Michael Brennan were both named to the team for the first time in their Demon Deacon careers.
Bae became the fourth player in program history to be named to the team four times in his career. Additionally, Wake Forest is one of just two schools in the conference to have four or more players be named to the team four times during their collegiate careers.
All three players were mainstays in head coach Jerry Haas' all season long with Brennan also coming home with All-ACC honors earlier this season. Brennan captured two individual titles this season while also finishing second on the team in stroke average with a 71.74 average as a freshman.
Gillam, who tied Brennan for the team lead with 31 rounds played this season, posted the third highest stroke average on the team with a 72.10. He turned in some of his best golf during postseason play, recording top-15 finishes at the ACC Championship, NCAA Regional and NCAA Championships.
Bae recorded four top-25 finishes including a pair of top-10 finishes early in spring. His second overall individual finish at the Kiawah Invitational helped the Demon Deacons to their first team title of the season.
