WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest volleyball program and head coach Randi Smart have announced the 2021 schedule, including a slate of 18 Atlantic Coast Conference games.
"We are very excited for the fall season to get underway," said coach Smart. "Last season was so different and much longer than what we're used to, having played games all spring, but the team is ready to get back out there and compete. We are back to a full ACC schedule this fall and are looking forward to competing with every team in this league. We've got 11 home games and are excited to be back in Reynolds Gym."
Wake Forest will open the season with nine non-conference road games, with their home opener coming on September 14 against North Carolina A&T in Reynolds Gymnasium. They will have one more non-conference game at home on Sept. 17 against Davidson before beginning conference play.
The Deacs will open their ACC slate at home on Sept. 24 and 26 when they host Georgia Tech and Clemson. The team will hit the road for the next four games against Syracuse, Boston College, North Carolina and NC State before returning to Reynolds for a four-game homestand, starting with Notre Dame on Oct. 15 and Louisville on Oct. 17. The Deacs will host Miami and Florida State Oct. 22 and 24 before getting back on the road to face Pitt on Oct. 29 and Virginia on Oct. 31.
Wake Forest will open the month of November back at home hosting Virginia Tech Nov. 3 before getting on the road to face Duke Nov. 5. The Deacs will host Virginia Nov. 12 and Boston College Nov. 21 before closing out the regular season on the road at Miami Nov. 24 and Virginia Tech later that week.
