WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest Athletics is committed to providing The Best Fan Experience in North Carolina inside all of its venues while ensuring that all fans have a great time in a healthy and safe environment. With Opening Night on Friday evening, Wake Forest University has several gameday strategies, and health and safety protocols in place to ensure all fans have a great experience at Truist Field.
"Wake Forest Athletics is excited to welcome back the entire Winston-Salem and Triad community this Friday night for the start of the 2021 football season at Truist Field," director of athletics John Currie said."Our foremost responsibility is to ensure the safety of our students, our supporters, and everyone who attends our events. Wake Forest Athletics continues to work closely with University leadership, Forsyth County, and state officials to follow COVID-related guidelines for the safety of everyone in attendance at Truist Field and all venues.
"While proof of vaccination isn't required for spectators, we encourage vaccinations for all. We are proud that nearly 100% of Wake Forest Athletics student-athletes, staff, and coaches are vaccinated as required under University and Athletics policy. Our staff greatly appreciates the willingness of everyone in the community to adhere and follow these health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of all in attendance at Demon Deacon games this year."
All measures within this release are intended to ensure a fun atmosphere on gameday and to protect all in attendance long after they have left Truist Field. Wake Forest Athletics requests that fans be respectful of one another as it relates to physical distancing when appropriate and other health and safety protocols.
A very limited number of Opening Night four-packs remain at the current $69 price, with only 30 remaining that include a parking pass. Season tickets remain available and start at just $120 - only $20 per game. Those purchasing season tickets may select their seats at the time of purchase. Health & Safety Protocols
Wake Forest University has several gameday guidelines and strategies with the first and foremost being required face coverings for all unvaccinated fans in attendance. Additionally, all fans must wear a mask indoors at all times, regardless of vaccination status.
Approved face coverings must:
Based on guidance from health officials, open-chin triangle bandanas and/or face coverings containing valves, neck covering gaiters, or materials with holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings. Additionally, costume masks are also not considered appropriate face coverings and are prohibited from being worn inside Truist Field.
Exceptions to the face covering policies include:
In both aforementioned instances, face coverings must be reapplied when the individual is not eating or drinking. Additionally, fans with suite tickets must follow policies regarding face coverings any time that he/she is not inside the suite that he/she is ticketed for.
Face coverings are not required for fully vaccinated individuals in any of Truist's Fields outdoor spaces, including the seating bowl.
If fans cannot supply their own mask, an approved disposable mask will be provided before entry at guest services locations outside Gate 1 and Bridger Field House.
Once inside the stadium, fans will see new guidelines, as well as enhanced cleaning procedures throughout, including an increased number of hand sanitizer stations.
All COVID-19 policy enforcement will be maintained at the discretion of Wake Forest Athletics staff, Winston-Salem Police Department, and Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.
Wake Forest Athletics will be requiring all non-team personnel to be masked at all times inside the field enclosure.
Wake Forest University administrators and public health officials are continually reviewing research and guidelines communicated by the CDC regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Parking/Traffic/Tailgating

For fans using ridesharing applications, pick-up and drop-off locations are located on Baity St. and Shorefair Dr. behind the Wake Forest University Indoor Tennis Center.

Clear Bag Policy
In the interest of fan safety, Wake Forest Athletics will continue to adhere to its clear bag policy for the 2021 football season. Fans are permitted to enter with a clear bag that does not exceed 12″ in height by 6″ in depth by 12″ in width. A one-gallon clear plastic bag, such as a Ziploc bag or anything similar, is acceptable.

Stadium Entry & Metal Detection Information
All gates at Truist Field open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, except for McCreary Tower and the Touchdown Club which open two hours before kickoff for premium ticket holders.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as metal detection measures will be in-place at all points-of-entry at Truist Field. Fans are also encouraged to limit the number of personal belongings brought with them to Truist Field to expedite the stadium entry process.
Mobile ticketing is also being implemented stadium wide this year, so please be patient as lines may be a little longer than normal as we all become accustomed to this new technology. Arriving early and enjoying Deactown is a great way to avoid long lines.

- Fully cover the nose and mouth and stay secure under the chin.
- Fit tight but comfortably against the side of the face.
- Be secured to allow the guest to not have to keep the covering in place with his/her hands.
