Wake Forest Travels To Kitty Harrison Invitational

CHAPEL HILL, N.C.-- After a strong showing last week at the Debbie Southern Invitational that saw Wake Forest record the second-best winning percentage among the 12 participating squads, the Demon Deacons will return to action this weekend in the Kitty Harrison Invitational hosted by North Carolina.
Last Time Out
In last weekend's Debbie Southern Invitational, Wake Forest made a solid impression on the field as it finished with a 24-16 record on the weekend against a group of teams that ended last season in the top-35.
Highlights from the action included a Brooke Killingsworth singles win (6-7, 7-5, 6-2) and the pairing of Casie Wooten and Saby Nihalani winning their doubles match after an intense rally down 0-3. Finally, the duo of Mia Ahmad and Maddie Lynch were champions of their doubles contests posting 6-3 and 6-4 wins before a walk-over in the final.
Format
Singles will be four compass draws of 16 players and doubles will be two compass draws of 16 teams.
Schedule
Doubles begin at 8 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday, with singles to follow each day. Two rounds of singles will be conducted on Friday and one round each on Saturday and Sunday. Doubles will follow a format of one round on Friday, two rounds on Saturday and one round on Sunday.
Teams
Wake Forest will be one of 14 teams in a field that includes North Carolina, Virginia, Iowa State, William & Mary, Auburn, Duke, Northwestern, Old Dominion, Kansas, Princeton, LSU, Charlotte and Florida.
