Demon Deacons Begin Two Game Road Swing at No. 2 North Carolina

Wake Forest and North Carolina will share the pitch for the 38th time Friday night.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – In a showdown of two Big Four programs, the Wake Forest women's soccer team will travel to face second-ranked North Carolina Friday night at Dorrance Field.
 
Kick-off is slated for 7 p.m., and the match will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.
 
The Matchup
  • Following a 2-0 victory over Miami, Wake Forest will hit the road to face No. 2 North Carolina on Friday.
  • The Demon Deacons had their best defensive performance of the season Sunday as they held Miami to zero shot attempts.
  • Wake Forest and North Carolina are two of only five teams in the ACC that have yet to allow double-digit goals this season.

  • Wake Forest continued its stellar defensive performance over the ensuing 18 minutes and came away with the 2-0 victory.
  • Sunday's win marked Wake Forest's third victory over an opponent ranked in the top-50 of the NCAA RPI rankings.
  • The Demon Deacons logged their ninth clean sheet of the season, as goalkeeper Kaitlyn Parks earned her 21st career shutout in goal for Wake Forest.
