Brennan Set to Make PGA Tour Debut on Thursday

The sophomore men’s golfer will be one of three Demon Deacons in the field after qualifying for the tournament on Monday.
PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Wake Forest men's golf sophomore Michael Brennan is set to make his PGA Tour debut Thursday afternoon at the Genesis Invitational.
The tournament will be held at historic Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif. just outside of Los Angeles. The course has been the site of the 1948 US Open, the 1983 and 1995 PGA Championships, the 1998 US Senior Open, and the 2017 US Amateur. Additionally, it will be the course played for the upcoming 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Brennan won the Genesis Invitational Collegiate Showcase on Monday afternoon, earning him the final spot in the 128-person field. The sophomore from Leesburg,Va. shot a 66 (-5) to capture the title, extending his impressive run over the last four tournaments he has played in.

He will be the lone amateur in the field this weekend, but one of three Demon Deacons playing in the tournament as former Wake Forest All-Americans Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young will look to continue their impressive play on the PGA Tour.
The first two rounds can be seen on Golf Channel starting at 4 p.m. ET with Saturday and Sunday's rounds scheduled for a 1 p.m. ET start on Golf Channel before moving to CBS at 3 p.m. ET.
The Demon Deacons will have another PGA Tour debut in the next month as senior Alex Fitzpatrick will play in the Valspar Championship from March 17-20. He qualified after winning at the Valspar Collegiate a season ago.
