Gillam Earns Canadian Tour Status

The senior earned his Canadian Tour card this week after shooting 285 (-3) at qualifying school.
WESTON, Fla. – Wake Forest senior men's golfer Parker Gillam earned status on the Canadian Tour for the upcoming season this week in Weston, Fla.
The Cary, N.C. native was one of 10 players in the 112 player field to punch their ticket to the tour, finishing the week with a 72-hole score of 285 (-3).
After finishing the week tied for seventh with five players, he went to a playoff to determine the final four spots. With a birdie on the first extra hole, Gillam earned one of the final three cards.
Coming into his senior season, Gillam ranked fourth in program history with a 71.82 career scoring average just behind Cameron Young, Will Zalatoris and Bill Haas. Additionally, he holds the program record for the lowest 18-hole round, finishing with a 60 in the opening round of the White Sand Intercollegiate.
He also played a key role in the Deacs run to the NCAA Championships last year, finishing as the Deacs top player on the individual leaderboard, tying for 13th.
