"I look forward to seeing our current student-athletes connect with alums. We are so grateful to those who have made great contributions to the Wake Forest community to provide a World Class Student-Athlete Experience for our young women and future Demon Deacons, as well as their impact on greater communities across the world."

50th Anniversary

Celebrate Excellence: Honor the Past. Invest in the Present. Change the Future.
Throughout the 2021-22 academic year, Wake Forest Athletics has sought to honor its past scholars, trailblazers, leaders, and champions who have worn the Old Gold & Black in athletics competition for Wake Forest over the past 50 years.

One of the best ways to honor that past is by making a charitable gift to Wake Forest Athletics designated for a women's sport program. Gifts now make life-changing impacts to those sport programs and their student-athletes. Investing in the present changes the future.

Following National Girls & Women in Sports Day, Wake Forest Athletics is launching its "50 for 50" campaign, encouraging all Wake Forest fans to participate in investing in the future of Women's Athletics at Wake Forest. The "50 for 50" campaign, which will run from February 2 through the Celebrate Excellence Weekend from April 1-3, invites alumni, parents and friends to make an individual philanthropic commitment at the giving level most appropriate for them.

Wake Forest Athletics seeks both leadership support and broad participation in pursuit of a goal of 50 commitments at each of the five giving levels below:
  • $50,000
  • $25,000
  • $10,000
  • $5,000
  • $1,000
Click here for full information, track progress, and make your gift online through the Wake Forest Deacon Club. Any gift can also be pledged out over a five-year time frame. For more information on pledges, email deacclub@wfu.edu or call 336-758-5626.

Celebrate Excellence: Phase 3
The 50 for 50 campaign represents Phase 3 of Wake Forest Athletics' giving campaign for the celebration of 50 Years of Intercollegiate Women's Athletics. Deacon Nation successfully completed Phase 1 in the early fall by securing 50 new gifts to each Wake Forest Athletics program.

Phase 2 built off the momentum established in Phase 1, as Deacon fans collectively contributed $50,000 in commitments for each sport program.
