- Women's Soccer:
- The No. 3 Demon Deacons split their California trip against Cal and No. 6 Stanford.
- Wake Forest opened the trip with a dominant 3-1 win over the Golden Bears on Thursday night to improve to 9-0 on the season.
- Graduate student Henley Tippins opened the scoring in the 36th feed following a stellar run by sophomore Kylia Maxwell.
- After Cal tied the game, redshirt junior Sierra Sythe rocketed a free kick into the back of the net to give the Deacs the lead back in the 78th minute.
- Junior Chloe Burst sealed the game in the 85th minute with her first goal of the season.
- Wake Forest opened the trip with a dominant 3-1 win over the Golden Bears on Thursday night to improve to 9-0 on the season.
- The Deacs will be back in action on Sun. Oct 4th, as they host Big Four rival NC State at 5 p.m.
- The No. 3 Demon Deacons split their California trip against Cal and No. 6 Stanford.
- Field Hockey:
- The No. 4 Wake Forest field hockey team split its road trip this past weekend against Delaware and No. 5 Maryland.
- The Demon Deacons came away with a 5-1 win over the Fightin' Blue Hens on Friday afternoon.
- Five different Demon Deacons scored in the win as the Deacs led the Fightin' Blue Hens in shots, 14-9.
- The Demon Deacons came away with a 5-1 win over the Fightin' Blue Hens on Friday afternoon.
- Wake Forest opens its conference slate this weekend with a pair of ranked matchups as they host Big Four rival No. 5 Duke on Friday at 5 p.m., before facing No. 11 Syracuse on Sunday at 12 p.m. at Kentner Stadium.
- The No. 4 Wake Forest field hockey team split its road trip this past weekend against Delaware and No. 5 Maryland.
- Women's Golf:
- The No. 7 Demon Deacons finished runners-up at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Frisco, Texas at PGA Frisco.
- The Deacs recorded a first-place finish in the stroke play portion of the tournament as they shot six-under-par over the course of the three rounds.
- Senior Macy Pate claimed the individual title for the second consecutive season as she shot four-under-par.
- Junior Chloe Kovelesky tied for third at three-under-par, while freshman Benedicte Brent-Petersen finished eighth at one-over-par.
- The Deacs recorded a first-place finish in the stroke play portion of the tournament as they shot six-under-par over the course of the three rounds.
- The No. 7 Demon Deacons finished runners-up at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup in Frisco, Texas at PGA Frisco.
- Volleyball:
- Wake Forest closed out its nonconference slate with a pair of wins against NC A&T and Wofford.
- The Demon Deacons opened their week with a dominant 3-0 sweep over the Aggies on Thursday evening.
- Freshman Lyla Stewart led the Demon Deacons with 11 kills.
- The Deacs concluded nonconference play with a 3-2 win in a neutral-site against Wofford on Friday afternoon, pushing their winning streak to four matches.
- Stewart recorded her second career double-double as she finished with 18 kills and 15 digs.
- Sophomore Amina N'Diaye added a solid performance off the bench as she set a new career-high with 14 kills. Meanwhile, graduate student Ryleigh Whitekettle logged her seventh double-digit kill performance of the season as she totaled 13 kills, as well as a pair of blocks and an assist.
- Elsewhere, redshirt senior Sanaa Williams logged 10 kills to go along with a team-high four blocks.
- The Demon Deacons opened their week with a dominant 3-0 sweep over the Aggies on Thursday evening.
- The Demon Deacons open ACC play this weekend with a pair of Big Four matchups.
- Wake Forest hosts Duke in its ACC opener on Friday at 6:30 p.m., before facing No. 24 North Carolina on Sunday at 4 p.m. on ACC Network.
- Wake Forest closed out its nonconference slate with a pair of wins against NC A&T and Wofford.
- Women's Tennis:
- The Wake Forest women's team continued its fall slate at the ITA Women's All-American Championships at the Cary Tennis Park.
- Junior Claire Hill opened the tournament with a win over James Madison's Sierra Vagi during the first round of pre-qualifying on Saturday morning.
- Senior Sankavi Gownder and sophomore Evie Oxford both represented the Deacs in the qualifying rounds.
- The Wake Forest women's team continued its fall slate at the ITA Women's All-American Championships at the Cary Tennis Park.
- Women's Cross Country:
- The Demon Deacons return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 26th at the Meadows Challenge in Princeton, N.J.
