Wake Forest To Host NCAA Men’s Tennis Championship Matches

Since 2015, Winston-Salem has hosted a portion of the NCAA Tournament including being the host to the Demon Deacons’ 2018 NCAA Championship.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- The Wake Forest Men's Tennis team has been selected to host the NCAA Division I Championship matches at Wake Forest Tennis Center for the opening two rounds of the tournament.
 
The Demon Deacons (31-6, 11-1 ACC) are the No. 9 seed in the 64-team field and are hosting first and second-round matches for the ninth year in a row. It is the Deacons' 21st overall appearance in the NCAA tournament.
 
Action begins Friday, May 6 at 1 p.m. with No. 2-seed Auburn facing off against No. 3-seed Texas Tech. At 4 p.m. 1-seed Wake Forest takes on 4-seed Radford. Gates will open at 12 p.m. on Friday and one ticket is good for both matches. The winners from Friday meet on Saturday at 4 p.m., and gates will open at 3 p.m. Patrons will enter the Tennis Center Complex from Gate 4 of Truist Field, near the Indoor Tennis Center.
 
Ticket Information
Opening round tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 3 at 9:00am online at GoDeacs.com/Tickets or by calling the Wake Forest Ticket Office at 336-758-3322 ext 2 during normal business hours, 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday-Friday. All seats are general admission; adults (age 19+) are $10 each, youth (age 2-18) are $5 each, and children one and under are free. Tickets can also be purchased in person at the entrance (Gate 4) to the Wake Forest Tennis Center beginning 60 minutes prior to match time on match day, while supplies last. 
 
The first 100 Wake Forest University students who claim a ticket via their Screamin' Demon Rewards app will be admitted at no cost to the student. All other college students (any NCAA school) will be able to purchase tickets for only $5 by presenting their school ID at the ticket booth on match day, while supplies last. 
 
Winston-Salem and the Wake Forest Tennis Center is known as one of the premier sites in the United States for both college and professional tennis. 
 
Since 2011, the site has been host to the Winston-Salem Open, a men's professional tennis tournament played on the ATP Tour. Additionally since 2015, the Wake Forest Tennis Center has played host to at least a portion of the NCAA Tournament. This includes the 2018 NCAA Championships where the Demon Deacons captured the national championship.
 
After the conclusion of the opening two rounds, the NCAA Super Regionals will be hosted on campus sites on Friday, May 13 and Saturday, May 14.
