Moroni, Nava Advance to NCAA Singles Second Round

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Senior Eduardo Nava and sophomore Filippo Moroni of the Wake Forest men's tennis team each advanced to the second round of the NCAA Singles Championship Monday at the Khan Outdoor Tennis Center in Champaign, Illinois.
No. 48 Moroni advanced to the round of 32, after taking down the No. 14 Nikola Slavic (Ole Miss), 7-6, 7-6. He will take on No. 19 JJ Tracy of Ohio State Tuesday at 11 a.m.
No. 61 Eduardo Nava moved on to the second round due to No. 4 Liam Draxl retiring from injury. The senior is set to face off against No. 23 Alex Reco of Arkansas, Tuesday at 3 p.m.
No. 34 Siddhant Banthia and Jakob Schnaitter will take on No. 7 Bradley Frye and Stefan Dostanic of USC on Tuesday at 6 p.m. ET
