A Message from Coach Gebbia
I am honored to be your head women's basketball coach at Wake Forest University.

Deacon Nation:

I cannot tell you how excited, proud and honored I am to be your head women's basketball coach at Wake Forest University. It has been an exciting time since I began conversations with John Currie and the Wake Forest leadership group. It was so special to meet the team in person on Thursday and I am so excited to develop great relationships with all of them and help them grow on and off the floor.

I am thankful to all of the players and staff who contributed to our nine years of incredible success at American University that included three NCAA Tournament appearances, three regular season Patriot League titles and five total postseason berths. Washington, D.C. will always be special to me, but I am excited to start a new journey in DEACTOWN.

We will work hard to elevate the Demon Deacons women's basketball program to championship levels in everything we do. You will be proud of this team on the court, in the classroom and in the community. Wake Forest is a top-30 academic institution, has the top football program in North Carolina this century, the men's basketball program is on the rise, 55 ACC Championships and nine NCAA Championships overall and successful academic progress rates and graduation rates are expected.

The core values of our program will be based on developing winning habits each and every day, insisting on excellence both on and off the court, and by consistently growing on a day-to-day basis. We will outwork our competition in every aspect of the program, including the classroom, weight room, film room, practice gym and during games. My expectation is to win with integrity and to build a program that Wake Forest and the Winston-Salem community can be proud of both on and off the court.

Our staff, which we are assembling, will focus solely on recruiting great basketball players and young women who have a desire to be developed in every aspect of their lives. Wake Forest has a proud tradition, with unmatched, state-of-the-art facilities and a highly successful alumni base.

I look forward to meeting all those in the Wake Forest and Winston-Salem community and cannot wait to play inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Thank you for supporting our program, staff, student-athletes, the University and for welcoming us home.

Go Deacs!
