Tinsman Named All-American by Collegiate Baseball

The Cape Elizabeth, Maine native reels in the first All-American honor of his career after recording his best collegiate season in 2022.
TUCSON, Ariz. - Wake Forest baseball's Brendan Tinsman was named a Third Team All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Thursday.
Tinsman received the first All-American honor of his career after recording his best collegiate season in 2022. The redshirt junior has posted career bests in all offensive categories, while also leading the ACC in base runners caught stealing (13) and holding the second-highest fielding percentage in the conference (.996).
The Cape Elizabeth, Maine native has also received recognition as an All-ACC Third Team selection, a member of the ACC All-Tournament Team and a semifinalist for the 2022 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Award.
Through 58 games, Tinsman holds a .349 batting average with a team-high 81 hits, 13 doubles, 23 home runs, 65 RBIs, a .703 slugging percentage and a .391 on-base percentage.
Tinsman has hit the second-most home runs in a single season by a Demon Deacon ever, entering the NCAA Tournament just one home run away from tying the program record. His 23 home runs rank fourth in the ACC and ninth in the nation.
In addition to ranking in the top 10 in home runs, Tinsman ranks fifth in slugging percentage, fifth in total bases, eighth in hits and ninth in RBIs in the ACC.
In 147 appearances, Tinsman has compiled 164 hits, 32 doubles, 39 home runs and 127 RBIs. Currently, he sits 10th all time in career home runs.
Wake Forest returns to the diamond on Friday, June 3 at 1 p.m. on ESPNU against UConn in the opening game of the College Park Regional.
