Demon Deacons Announce 2022 Non-Conference Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball program and head coach Steve Forbes have announced their non-conference schedule for the 2022-23 season.
"We are excited to take the next step with our non-conference schedule this season," said Forbes. "We are looking forward to building on the momentum of last season and we cannot wait to be back in the Joel with Deacon Nation in November."
Wake Forest will open the season with five non-conference games inside the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum (LJVM). The season opener will take place November 7 against Fairfield as part of a double-header with the women's basketball team competing that same day. The Deacs will then host the Georgia Bulldogs at LJVM on November 11 and Utah Valley on November 15 before heading out of town for their first trip.
The team will head to Montego Bay, Jamaica for the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic, held through November 18-20. Wake Forest's opening game will be November 18 against La Salle, followed by a matchup against either Georgetown or Loyola Marymount on November 20. More information on the event can be found here.
When the Deacs return to Winston-Salem, they will host South Carolina State and Hampton inside LJVM for matchups on November 23 and 26, respectively.
Wake Forest will hit the road for the ACC/BIG Ten Challenge this season, heading to Wisconsin for a matchup against the Badgers on November 29. The Deacs defeated the Northwestern Wildcats in the ACC/BIG Ten Challenge in Winston-Salem last season.
December will start off with a neutral site game against LSU on December 10 for the annual Holiday Hoopsgiving showcase. The multi-game event will take place at State Farm Arena in Atlanta. More information on the event can be found here.
The Deacs will close out their non-conference schedule with a home showing on December 14 against Appalachian State and a road matchup with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on December 17.
