The Demon Deacons will open a five-match road stretch starting Thursday against the Panthers.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – After opening the 2022 campaign with a four-match homestand, the Wake Forest women's soccer team will hit the road for five consecutive matches starting Thursday when the Demon Deacons travel to face in-state foe High Point at Vert Stadium.
Kick-off is slated for 4 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on ESPN+.

The Matchup
- Wake Forest remains unbeaten after two solid performances last weekend against SEC opponents. Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Parks refused to allow a goal in both contests, bringing her career shutout total to 16. This season, the Deacs have scored seven goals, while conceding just one.
- The Demon Deacons have attempted 10 or more shots in each contest this season.
- Wake Forest finished 25th in the RPI rankings last season, while High Point finished 124th.
Last Time Out
- Against No. 11 Auburn, Wake Forest controlled the tempo of the match and outshot the Tigers 12-6 for the contest.
- Parks came up big against Auburn, registering four saves and playing all 90 minutes in goal for the Deacs.
- Auburn recorded its first shot in the 41st minute when a Wake Forest foul resulted in a penalty kick for the Tigers that was deflected by Parks. On the deflection, Auburn attempted another shot that was also saved by Parks.
- In the first half against Auburn, Wake Forest tallied more shots, shots on goal and corner kicks than the Tigers.
Scouting the Panthers
- High Point has yet to win a match this season with two draws and two losses to open the year. The Panthers have conceded six goals so far this season and have not found the back of the net in the last two matches.
- The Panthers are coming off a 1-0 loss at home to William & Mary.
- High Point is led by redshirt senior Skyler Prillaman who leads the team in shots and shots on goal this season.

- The Demon Deacons hold a perfect 3-0-0 record over the Panthers, scoring 10 goals across the three matches and conceding just one.
- Thursday's contest will be the second match between the Demon Deacons and the Panthers to take place at High Point. In 2010, Wake Forest came away with a 2-1 victory.
- The last meeting between the two teams was last season. Parks and her current starting backline earned a clean sheet in a 3-0 victory. Parks also recorded five saves.
