Hartman Named to Davey O’Brien Great 8 and Manning Award Stars of the Week

The redshirt junior quarterback threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns to four different receivers this week at Vanderbilt.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – After being recognized as the ACC Quarterback of the Week on Monday, Wake Forest redshirt junior quarterback Sam Hartman was named to the Davey O'Brien Great 8 and Manning Award Stars of the Week lists this week.

Hartman, who is one of five returning finalists for the Manning Award last year and one of 12 returning semifinalist for the O'Brien Award last year, finished the game 18-27 passing for an even 300 yards and four passing touchdowns. He found four different receivers for scores, including a 68-yard pass to Perry. 

Following his performance on Saturday, the Charlotte native moved within 196 yards of Riley Skinner for most passing yards in school history.
