NASHVILLE - The No. 21 Wake Forest football team hits the road for the first time of the 2022 season in a non-conference contest at Vanderbilt on Saturday, Sept. 10 at 12 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

Wake Forest is 4-4 while playing at Vanderbilt, with the last victory coming in 2010 in a decisive 34-13 win.

During Wake Forest's six-year bowl streak, the Demon Deacons have gotten off to fast starts including holding a record of 18-4 in games played in the month of September. After a season-opening win against VMI, the Demon Deacons have won their last five games in September and nine of the last 11 games.

Wake Forest heads into the week two matchup fresh off a 44-10 victory, its 10th-straight win inside of Truist Field, against VMI in front of the largest Opening Night student crowd ever (3,752).

Four different Demon Deacons found the endzone in victory over the Keydets with all three of Mitch Griffis' touchdown passes finding different receivers in Taylor Morin, Blake Whiteheart and Jahmal Banks. In all, 10 Deacs caught at least one pass in the week one victory.
