The Demon Deacons are seeking their first victory over the Cardinals since 2015.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – With a postseason berth weighing in the balance, the Wake Forest women's soccer team will take on Louisville in the Demon Deacons' regular-season home finale Sunday afternoon at Spry Stadium.
 
Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m. ET, and the match can be streamed on ACC Network Extra.

Deacs vs. Cardinals
  • Wake Forest enters the match off a 1-1 draw with Boston College on Thursday night.
    • The point kept the Deacs in sixth-place in the ACC standings, one point above four other schools for the final spot in the ACC Tournament with two games remaining.
    • After the match against Louisville, the Deacs will conclude the regular season, traveling to face Miami.
  • Louisville sits in 11th place in the ACC standings with eight points.
    • The Cardinals are coming off a 3-0 defeat at Clemson Thursday night.
    • Sunday's matchup with the Deacs will conclude a three-game road stretch before they return home for the season finale against Duke.

Junior forward Emily Murphy has scored a goal in three of the Demon Deacons' last five matches and is now tied with Hanks for the team lead with six tallies on the year.

Last Time Out (Against Boston College)
  • After facing a 1-0 halftime deficit, Wake Forest battled back to earn a 1-1 draw with ACC foe Boston College Thursday evening at Spry Stadium.
  • With the tie, the Demon Deacons (8-2-5, 2-2-4 ACC) took sole possession of sixth place in the ACC standings (10 points) with just two regular season matches remaining. Of note, the top six teams in the league make the ACC Tournament.
  • Boston College opened the scoring in the 20th minute on a goal from Ella Richards to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.
  • The Deacs responded with relentless pressure coming out of the intermission, which resulted in junior midfielder Anna Swanson finding the equalizer in the 51st minute.
  • Over the final 40 minutes of play, the Deacs had several near scoring opportunities but were unable to find the winner as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
  • Of note, with Thursday's tie, junior goalkeeper Payton Cahill remained unbeaten over her first five career starts (2-0-3).

  • Individually, the Cardinals are led by sophomore Addie Chester, who is one of four players tied for the team lead with two goals.
    • She also leads the team in assists (six), points (10), shots (29) and shots on-goal (12) with just over 1,000 minutes played so far this season.
  • In goal, sophomore Erynn Floyd has started all 16 matches.
    • She has tallied 58 saves this season, which ranks sixth in the ACC, in addition to a .716 save percentage.

  • Wake Forest is 3-3-1 against Louisville all-time.
    • After winning the first three meetings with the Cardinals from 1999 to 2015 with a goal differential of +8, the Deacs are winless in their last four matchups in the series, including three-consecutive losses.
