Haas and Haberer Finish Round Two in the Top-25 at The Blackthorn Club

Freshmen Kyle Haas and Tom Haberer rose over 30 positions during round two of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
JOHNSON CITY, TENN.- Freshmen Wake Forest men's golfers Tom Haberer and Kyle Haas put on an amazing performance during the second round of the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
Going into round two this morning Haas was tied for 47th at the Blackthorn Club. The freshman tallied four birdies through 18 holes on Monday.
Haas tied his career-best score shooting a 69 (-3) during round two. The freshman rose 32 positions and ended the second round tied for 15th.
Haberer rose 38 positions during round two at the Blackthorn Club. The Baldzefurth, German native recorded three birdies with no bogeys during the round. Haberer ended round two shooting a 69 (-3) and is tied for 20th.
In Haberer's last appearance, he finished 16th and ended the J.T. Poston Invitational shooting 3-under-par. Earlier in the fall, Haberer helped the Demon Deacons take home their first team title of the year at the Highlands Invitational.
Haberer is looking to make his second-straight top-25 finish of his career while Haas is looking to finish in the top-15 and make the highest finish of his freshman season.
Boyd Owens is set to tee off at 10:10 a.m. ET Tuesday against individual golfers from Toledo and No. 5 Tennessee. Haas and Haberer will be teeing off in the same group along with an individual golfer from Toledo at 10:50 a.m. ET.
