
Tom Haberer Claimed His First Collegiate Top-25 Finish at the J.T. Poston Invitational

Wake Forest freshman Tom Haberer finished tied for 16th at The Country Club of Sapphire Valley.
SAPPHIRE, N.C. - Led by Tom Haberer, Wake Forest men's golf freshmen Marco Florioli, Kyle Haas and Haberer finished their final round at the J.T. Poston Invitational Tuesday afternoon.
In his third collegiate start, Haberer claimed his first finish in the top-25. During round three of the J.T. Poston invitational, Haberer tallied four birdies and finished the weekend with 13 total birdies.
Tuesday, Haberer started off with one birdie going into the turn. On the back nine, the Bad Salzdefurth, German native notched three additional birdies. Two of those came back-to-back on holes No. 13 and No. 14. The freshman secured his best finish of his young career, tying for 16th at the J.T. Poston Invitational.
On Monday, Haberer tied his career-best round. The freshman shot a 68 (-3) and tallied four birdies and an eagle on hole No. 14 during the first round.
On the final day, Haas rose 14 positions at The Country Club of Sapphire Valley. Haas tallied back-to-back birdies on holes No. 13 and No. 14, shooting 2-under-par during the final round at the J.T. Poston Invitational.

In 2021, Michael Brennan captured his fourth individual victory of his career at the Ben Hogan Invitational, winning the event by six strokes as the Deacs placed third.
