From Coach Haas:
"Oh man, it is nice to be back on campus. We had an unbelievable tournament, The guys really battled hard. We had terrible weather today. I can't thank Chicago Highlands enough for lending us their course and putting on such a great event, As the host school it's always nice to invite other teams in. We were co-champions with Missouri, we both shot 31-under which is fantastic golf. I'm so proud of the guys. Obviously, Micheal Brennan got his seventh win, which is incredibly impressive in today's college golf. But also Scotty stepped up. Marshall Meisel birdied the last two holes. Andrew shot two-under for the week, we battled very hard and it was just a really, really good team effort. We needed a good week after last week. And I can't thank the guys enough for doing a good job in the practice round preparing and they really wanted to play today. It looked like we might not because of the rain but luckily we got it in and the Deacs brought home the title. Go Deacs!"
From Michael Brennan:
"What a week, it was a grind out there. The weather didn't exactly cooperate with us. We got a lot of rain on Sunday in the practice round. Monday was actually pretty good, but then it continued into Tuesday. So it was a grind out there. But all the fellas handled it really well and fought really hard today. It's great to come out on top individually but also as a team. We need those wins and it was a great momentum builder heading into the Ben Hogan next week. It's a big event at a nice course. I look forward to seeing Shady Oaks but Chicago Highlands did an amazing job getting the course ready. We got over two inches of rain on Sunday night and Monday morning. The course was in great, playable shape so that's really a shout-out to their crew, the Owner, head pro, and greens keeper for getting the course ready. It was a fun week. Great to have the entire team out here. It's always more fun. So, Go Deacs and let's get it next week!"
