After returning from Hawaii, the Demon Deacons are scheduled to host Villanova Sunday afternoon at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum while also airing live on ACC Network.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – See you soon, Deacon Nation! The Wake Forest women's basketball team will return home to Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum Sunday afternoon, facing Big East Runner-Up Villanova.

The Demon Deacons (2-3) will look to build on the momentum of the North Shore Showcase where the Deacs had a historic final game on Oahu against Saint Louis. The 94 points scored was not only the second-highest total in the last decade for Wake Forest but was the most points scored by a Megan Gebbia coached team in her 12 seasons as a head coach. Additionally, the Deacs had 24 assists which tied the most assists in the last decade. Graduate guard Kaia Harrison continues to produce consistent offensive performances as she has recorded double-figure points in four of the five games this season while also shooting over 90 percent from the free throw line.

The Wildcats (3-1) are off to a strong start to the season, following a historic run to the NCAA Tournament a season ago and runner-up finish in the Big East. So far this season, Villanova has been one of the best teams in the country in taking care of the basketball. The Wildcats rank second in the country with just 7.8 turnovers per game while also ranking fifth nationally with a 1.84 assist/turnover ratio. They also rank 34th in the country and lead the Big East in turnover margin. Junior guard Lucy Olsen has been one of the best scoring guards in the country through the early part of the season, ranking seventh nationally with 24.5 points per game.

Tipoff for Sunday is scheduled for Noon (ET) at LJVM Coliseum. For those not at the arena, fans can tune in to ACC Network. A live stats feed for Sunday can be found here. You can also listen to both games on GoDeacs.com/Watch.
