Garrison Tubbs Named United Soccer Coaches First-Team Scholar All-American

This marks the second-straight year Tubbs has earned Scholar All-American honors as he graduates from Wake Forest University this month.
KANSAS CITY, MO. -- Wake Forest men's soccer's Garrison Tubbs has been named a United Soccer Coaches First-Team Scholar All-American, the organization announced on Friday. This marks the second-straight year Tubbs has earned first-team Academic All-American honors.
Tubbs is the fourth Demon Deacon to earn first-team All-American and first-team Academic All-American honors in the same year alongside 2016 MAC Hermann Trophy winner Ian Harkes, Jacori Hayes and Wake Forest Sports Hall of Famer Will Hesmer.
A three-time All-ACC Academic Team selection and named to the ACC Honor Roll three times, Tubbs is graduating from Wake Forest with his degree in Finance.
On the field, Tubbs in 2023 was named the ACC's Defensive Player of the Year, the only defender selected to the All-ACC First-Team, a United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-American and a United Soccer Coaches All-South Region First-Team selection. On Wednesday, he was named one of three finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, given annually to the top college soccer player in the country.
Earlier on Friday, it was announced that Tubbs signed a Homegrown Contract with Atlanta United.
