Four Demon Deacons finished inside the top 25.

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The No. 2 Demon Deacons had the best round of the day to jump two spots on the leaderboard and finish in fourth place at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, hosted by South Carolina. Wake Forest was just one stroke back from third and less than 10 strokes off the leader.

The Deacs led all teams in scoring on par-four holes, going +18 on the 33 par-four holes over the three-day event. Wake also led the field in pars, with 196 recorded across all five players over the 54 holes. Rachel Kuehn led all individuals in scoring on par-five holes, going three-under across the nine par-five holes throughout the event. Lauren Walsh was second in scoring on par-three holes, going two under across the 12 par-three holes over the three days.

Wake Forest was paced by graduate Emilia Migliaccio in the final round, as she recorded the lowest 18- hole score of the day among the 90-player field. Her first nine holes included two birdies and a bogey to put her at one under at the turn. She finished the day with three birdies on her second nine holes to go four under on the day. She had back-to-back birdies on 12 and 13 and birdied the par-three seventeenth before ending the tournament with a par on 18. This is the veteran's fourth top-10 finish of the season.

Rachel Kuehn finished inside the top 25 for the eighth time this season. After nine straight pars to start the day, she recorded back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15 to balance three bogeys on her second nine. She finished one over on the day and five over par for the event.

Lauren Walsh and Mimi Rhodes each finished six over for the event. Rhodes had her best round on the final day, going even par with just one bogey to end her first nine and a birdie on 11 to get her back. She finished the day with seven straight pars for her third top-25 finish of the year. Walsh finished four over for the final round and now has seven top-25 finishes this season.

Carolina Chacarra went three over in the final round to finish seven over par and in a tie for 30th. She has six other top 20 finishes this season with one more regular season event before Atlantic Coast Conference Championships begin April 13.

Coach's Comments
"We always enjoy coming to Long Cove for the Darius and getting to play on Golf Channel. It's been a great week of golf against some of the best teams in the country. We're going home with some things that need improvement before the postseason begins.

We've got one more tournament and the ANWA to get us ready for ACCs and we're looking forward to continuing to improve individually and as a group." - head coach Kim Lewellen
