
Top-Seeded Wake Forest Squares Off Against Fourth-Seeded Miami in Semifinals on Saturday

The Demon Deacons went 2-0 in pool play of the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship and became the first No. 1 seed to successfully advance out of pool play since the ACC switched to its current championship format in 2017.
DURHAM, N.C. – After going 2-0 in pool play of the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Championship, the top-seeded Wake Forest baseball team will square off against fourth-seeded Miami in the semifinals of the conference tournament on Saturday, May 28 at 1 p.m. at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium.
The No. 1 nationally-ranked Deacs claimed its pool and secured a spot in the tournament semifinals with a 10-2 victory over 12th-seeded Pitt in its first postseason contest on Thursday afternoon.
Behind a clutch bottom of the fifth and stellar bullpen contributions, the top-seeded Wake Forest baseball team defeated eighth-seeded Notre Dame, 7-5, on Friday night. Nick Kurtz had a pair of home runs while four players in the pen finished off the last 5.1 innings, allowing a combined one run.
The fourth matchup of the season between Wake Forest and Miami will be broadcasted live on ACC Network. Additionally, fans can also tune into an audio streaming broadcast presented by Harris Teeter through the Wake Forest Athletics app .

During the regular season, The Deacs earned its first sweep of the Hurricanes in program history in front of 5,967 fans, the largest regular season weekend crowd ever. Over the three weekend wins from March 24-26, Wake Forest outscored Miami by a mark of 19-2.
