Minacci Named NCBWA Stopper of the Year Finalist

Minacci is one of 10 hurlers named as a finalist for the top relief pitchers in the nation.
DALLAS – Wake Forest baseball's Camden Minacci was named as a finalist for the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's Stopper of the Year Award, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
The winner of the Stopper of the Year Award will be named on Friday, June 16 at the 2023 College World Series.
A staple out of Wake Forest's bullpen the last two seasons, Minacci earned the 11th and 12th saves of his junior season after inducing the final three outs of Wake Forest's weekend victories against Virginia Tech in the final series of the regular season.
The career-best mark leads the ACC and is seventh in the nation. Additionally, Minacci is now tied for the fifth-most saves in a single season by a Demon Deacon.
The Tampa, Fla. native has reached his career high in strikeouts twice this season.
