Demon Deacons Travel to Liberty for Final Midweek of the Season

Wake Forest sits at 9-3 during midweeks this season.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest baseball team travels to Worthington Field on Tuesday, May 12, to take on Liberty in the final non-conference game of the 2026 regular season. First pitch against the Flames is set for 6 p.m. ET.

Wake Forest sits at 29-10-2 all-time against the Flames and will look for their eighth victory in the last nine games against Liberty.

• One of the keys to the Deacs' success over the last five years has been scoring first, as Wake Forest has gone 134-40-1 in games in which they got on the board first since the 2022 season.
• Under Tom Walter, Wake is 343-133-1 when scoring first, including a 23-5 mark during the 2026 campaign.

One Hit Wonders
• The Wake Forest pitching staff has allowed just one hit on three different occasions so far this season, doing so against Liberty (3/17), Elon (3/24) and UNCG (4/21).
• The three one-hit efforts mark the most in a single season since the turn of the century.
• Additionally, the Demon Deacon arms have held opponents to four or fewer hits on 11 different occasions.
