- Women's Soccer:
- Backed by a brace and an assist from junior Caiya Hanks, the No. 5-ranked Wake Forest women's soccer team picked up a dominant 3-0 road victory over Syracuse Sunday afternoon at SU Soccer Stadium.
- It marked Hanks' second brace in as many weeks following her stellar performance against Virginia on Sept. 15, which saw her named ACC Offensive Player of the Week.
- Coming off of her own ACC Offensive Player of the Week award, Emily Colton bagged a second-half goal and has now scored in three-consecutive matches and has recorded a goal-contribution in six of the last seven outings.
- The Demon Deacons will now return home for another highly-ranked clash as they host current No. 7 Florida State at Spry Stadium.
- The match is slated for 7 p.m. and will be shown live on ACC Network Extra.

- Volleyball:
- Wake Forest travels to the West Coast this weekend for its first two conference road matchups of the fall season, visiting California (Oct. 4) and Stanford (Oct. 6).
- The weekend will feature the first-ever meetings between the Deacs and their opponents.
- Opening up ACC play this past weekend in contests versus Virginia and Virginia Tech, Wake Forest picked up a victory over the latter.
- As of Oct. 1, three Deacons rank in the top-10 among all conference individuals within different statistical categories:
- Tina Grkovic – 5th in blocks (1.31/set)
- Paige Crawford – 8th in service aces (22 total)
- Emma Farrell – 8th in digs (3.84/set)
- As a team, Wake Forest stands sixth in blocks.
- Wake Forest travels to the West Coast this weekend for its first two conference road matchups of the fall season, visiting California (Oct. 4) and Stanford (Oct. 6).
- Field Hockey:
- Firing off a season-high 28 shots, the Wake Forest field hockey team got back in the win column as the Demon Deacons defeated Kent State 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Kentner Stadium.
- In the match, freshman Lena Keller and senior Brooke McCusker both bagged their first goals of the season while freshman Lauren Storey logged her fourth goal.
- Wake Forest remains at home this Sunday taking on Davidson on Sunday, Oct. 6 on ACC Network Extra. First touch is set for Noon.
- Firing off a season-high 28 shots, the Wake Forest field hockey team got back in the win column as the Demon Deacons defeated Kent State 3-1 on Sunday afternoon at Kentner Stadium.
- Cross Country:
- At the Nuttycombe Invitational last Friday, Wake Forest sophomore Brooke Wilson steered the course as she clocked 20:52.7 en route to a 40th place finish in a stacked field.
- Elizabeth Whaley (21:15.2) and Molly Dreher (21:18.1) finished 78th and 80th, respectively.
- Alli Boehm and Angelina Perez rounded out the top-five spread which helped the squad finish above two ranked teams in Northwestern (No. 24) and Iowa State (No. 30).
- Next, the Deacs will head to Charlotte for the Royals XC Challenge on Friday, Oct. 11th.
