The five-day event will be streamed live on ESPN+ with coverage from Cracked Racquets.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Capping off what has proved to be a successful fall for the Wake Forest men's tennis team, it will be sending one singles athlete and two doubles pairs to Waco, Texas for the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships, hosted by Baylor University, beginning on Tuesday, Nov. 19.
The singles tournament will begin with the round of 64 on Tuesday as standout DK Suresh Ekambaram opens his second appearance in the championships against Georgia's Miguel Perez Pena (No. 64) at 9 a.m. Last season, Suresh Ekambaram led the Deacs with 11 ranked wins while competing in the No. 1 and No. 2 positions.
Doubles will kick-off on Wednesday, with fourth-seeded Luciano Tacchi/Luca Pow taking on Arthus de la Bassetiere/Kabeer Kapasi (No. 57) of Rice in the round of 32. The pair earned automatic qualification to the championships after winning the Carolina Regionals in mid-October.
Suresh Ekambaram will also be competing in doubles with newcomer Ioannis Xilas. The duo will begin play Wednesday against Pedro Vives/Lui Maxted from TCU. Of note, Suresh Ekambaram was named an ITA Doubles All-American in June after a dominant spring season alongside Holden Koons.
Wednesday's start times are still to be determined. Stay tuned to GoDeacs.com and Wake Forest men's tennis' social accounts for more information throughout the week.
The event will be streamed live on ESPN+ with coverage brought to you by Cracked Racquets beginning at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
