How It Happened
From Gebbia
"Coming in, the team was excited. We've been practicing since July. They were just anxious to get out there and show everybody that we're a different team than last year. It showed in our play and our unselfishness, having the balance in our scoring, our ability to defend, getting a lot of steals and things like that. So that was really good to see. And it's really nice to have Demeara back, obviously for rebounding purposes, but other things as well. Communication is really big. And then having a fifth-year senior point guard in Tamia and just having leadership was a big part of the success for today." - Megan Gebbia
