12/6/2024 11:33:00 AM | Men's Basketball
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's basketball team makes a return to Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum this Saturday (Dec. 7), hosting Boston College for its first Atlantic Coast Conference test of the 2024-25 season. Tip is slated for 12 p.m. ET.
Standing at 7-3 on the season so far, the Demon Deacons are coming off a road matchup at No. 22 Texas A&M, as they visited the Aggies for the second edition of the ACC/SEC Challenge.
Hunter Sallis led the team in scoring for the sixth time this winter, totaling a game-high 19 points while playing all 40 minutes in the contest. On the defensive end, the senior guard collected four steals, tying his career-best mark in a single game.
Davin Cosby contributed 11 points, including three makes from three-point distance. It was the fourth occasion this season in which the sophomore guard reached double figures in scoring, along with being the third showing in which he made three or more triples. Cosby also tied his career high in rebounds (5) and scooped three steals.
Standing at 95 total rebounds through 10 games, Tre'Von Spillers continues to lead the Deacs on the rebounding end. His total is good for a third-best mark in the ACC, as he averages 9.5 per contest.
During its battle against the Aggies, Wake Forest forced Texas A&M into 14 turnovers during the first half. The total is tied for the most turnovers forced in a half in the Steve Forbes era, as the team forced 14 in the second half against Longwood (Nov. 27, 2020) and the first half against William & Mary (Nov. 10, 2021).
On Saturday, student shuttles will not be available for transportation to the game versus Boston College. Free parking will be offered in the Diet Pepsi and Allegacy Stadium lots for students who choose to drive to the game. Student IDs must be shown to staff upon arrival.
