The Demon Deacons Split Their Efforts Between the Darius Dixon and Eagle Elite Invitational

Thomas Kitchell looks to continue his success in the shot put this weekend at the Darius Dixon Invitational.
LYNCHBURG, VA. - The Wake Forest men's and women's track & field teams will be competing in the Darius Dixon Invitational and Eagle Elite Invitational this weekend (Feb. 9-10) in Lynchburg, Va. and Boston, Mass., respectively. In their last events, the Demon Deacons tallied 13 podium finishes between the Bob Pollock and Camel City Invitationals.
Out of those 13 podium finishes, five athletes claimed first place. Addison Berry claimed her first top finish of the indoor season with 3,884 points in the women's pentathlon. Dillon Aryeh ran a 1:51.14 to take home first in the men's 800m.
In the men's shot put, Thomas Kitchell claimed his fourth first-place finish of the indoor season with a 19.11m throw. Paul Specht competed in the men's 3000m invitational and finished first with a time of 7:59.37. Finally, the men's distance medley relay team consisting of Aryeh, Specht, Rynard Swanepoel and Jack Balick finished in first with a time of 9:43.33.
