Wake Forest Athletics Celebrates Tremendous Achievements at 2024 Black & Golden Globe Awards

The annual celebration highlights the athletic and academic accomplishments of Wake Forest student-athletes.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Celebrations were in full effect on Thursday evening, as Wake Forest Athletics recapped a year of highlights and memories at the annual Black & Golden Globes, which was held this year at LJVM Coliseum.
The event was full of pageantry and excitement encapsulating a year that has already included an ACC Championship for women's golf, an ACC Atlantic Division title and 13th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance for men's soccer, an individual ACC title for men's golf's Michael Brennan, an individual ACC title for track & field's Thomas Kitchell, numerous accomplishments by the preseason No. 1 ranked baseball team, women's soccer securing a spot in the ACC Tournament, men's basketball hosting postseason play for the second time in three seasons and men's tennis continually holding a high national ranking heading into the NCAA Tournament.
Below are the winners of this year's awards at the Black & Golden Globes. Additional awards such as the Arnold Palmer Male Athlete of the Year and Marge Crisp Female Athlete of the Year will be announced at a later date:
Ron and Linda Wellman Life Teammate Award
Awarded annually, the Life Teammate Award will recognize a male and female student-athlete who best represents the characteristics of being a life teammate. Each team selects one nominee for the award.
