Wake Forest Maintains Lead After Day Two of Regionals

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's golf team shot the second-lowest round of the day to extend its lead on the field to six strokes.
Over 36 holes, Wake Forest leads all teams in scoring on par-fours and par-fives, while recording the most pars as a team with 122. Additionally, Wake is second in scoring on par-threes. The team is second in birdies with 34 and Rachel Kuehn has recorded two eagles in two days, making the Deacs one of two teams with two eagles and Kuehn the only player with more than one.
Freshman Macy Pate is second in scoring on par-threes and Kuehn is third in scoring on par-fours while leading the field in scoring on par-fives. Kuehn has gone a cumulative seven-under across eight par-five holes. Pate and Kuehn have each recorded a team-high nine birdies while junior Carolina Chacarra and freshman Brooke Rivers have each recorded a team-high 26 pars.
Wednesday's final round will begin at 8:00 a.m. Wake Forest tee times will begin at 8:00 in 11-minute intervals off the first tee. The Deacs will be paired with Texas and Ole Miss.
At the conclusion of play Wednesday afternoon, the top five teams and top individual on a non-advancing team from the regional will advance to the National Championship at the La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California from May 17-22.
