The 2024 team captain continues his career just two hours from his hometown.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest baseball's Jake Reinisch will continue his professional career with the New York Boulders of the Frontier League, having signed a contract with the organization on Tuesday.
"Jake Reinisch is as complete an all-around hitter as there was in the ACC for two of the past three seasons," Walter said of the addition. "Jake gives you a great at-bat every time and is a much better athlete than he gets credit for. He has a chance to make a lot of noise in the Frontier League and we couldn't be prouder of how he represented the Old Gold & Black over the past four seasons. There is no one more deserving of the opportunity."
Reinisch was Mr. Consistent for the Deacs, as he was one of just three Deacs to start every game in 2024, and reached base in all but six.
The Clifton Park, New York-native racked up 69 hits, a team-leading 67 RBI, 18 home runs, 35 extra base hits and 39 walks.
The 2024 Dick Howser Trophy Semifinalist finished the season ranked highly in multiple offensive categories with a .308 batting average, .419 on-base percentage and .634 slugging percentage to go with a team-best 67 RBI.
He homered in seven of the last 15 games of the year, including getting Wake on the board at the ACC Tournament with a shot to left field and homered in each game of the three-game series against WCU.
Reinisch had a hit in all three games of the series in the road series at Boston College, including doubles on Friday and Sunday and three RBI over the three-game set against the Eagles.
Against No. 8 Florida State, he hit a home run in both games of the Saturday doubleheader and helped the Demon Deacons take their third-consecutive ACC series with the wins over the Seminoles.
Reinisch had at least two RBIs 21 times this season to go with 17 multi-hit efforts during his senior campaign.
His four hits against High Point tied a career high and marked his first time doing so since his four-hit performance against Georgetown in early March.
