Strong Collegiate Debuts Power Wake Forest in Adidas XC Challenge

JoJo Jourdon, competing unattached, clocked a 17:42.1 and finished third.
Cary, N.C. – Highlighted by a third-place individual finish from standout JoJo Jourdon competing unattached, the Wake Forest men's cross country team opened its 2024 season with a third-place team finish at the Adidas XC Challenge Friday evening in Cary, N.C.
As a team, the Demon Deacons tallied 73 points Friday evening, with four members of the top-five spread finishing in the top 15. In addition to Jourdon (17:42.1), Grant Morgenfeld (18:03.6) and Chuli Serra (18:04.3) both impressed in their first collegiate meet competing as individuals.
Junior Jackson Keefer led the charge for the squad, as he clocked a personal-best 18:02.4 en route to a 10th place finish.
Also making his collegiate debut, Wes Shipsey rounded-out the top 15 with an 18:11.4.
