- Women's Soccer:
- The Demon Deacons are coming off of their first-ever win over a No. 1-ranked opponent in program history as it downed No. 1 Stanford, 1-0 last Thursday.
- Emily Colton bagged the lone goal of the contest in the 30th minute.
- Additionally, it's the 11th win over a top-five opponent for Wake Forest and second this week.
- Wake Forest is the first team in NCAA history to defeat #1 and #2 in back-to-back matches.
- Wake Forest followed up Thursday's victory with a 2-2 draw against Cal on Sunday, backed by goals from Emily Murphy and Emily Colton.
- Spry Stadium has been a fortress for the Demon Deacons over the last three seasons, as Wake Forest has posted a stellar 15-2-6 record at home since the start of 2022 and is currently on a 14-game unbeaten stretch.
- This mark ties the longest unbeaten home stretch in program history and is one away from breaking the record set in 2007-08.
- A week after Caiya Hanks garnered the honors, Emily Colton was named ACC Offensive Player of the Week for her performances against Stanford and Cal.
- This is the first time in program history that two Wake Forest players have won the award in consecutive weeks.
- Wake Forest will now look ahead to a road clash with Syracuse on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 1 p.m.
- The match will be shown live on ACC Network Extra.

- Volleyball:
- The Deacs begin ACC play this weekend, hosting Virginia on Friday at 7 p.m. before welcoming Virginia Tech Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
- Wake Forest stands at 8-3 overall and is on a five-match winning streak, also having won four of its first five appearances inside Varsity Arena.
- The current win streak is a best mark by the program since fall 2023, when the Deacs won the first six matches of the season.
- The team most recently grabbed victories over App State and Davidson during a final non-conference weekend of the regular season. Going 8-3 against such competition, it currently rests as the second-best clip within the head coach Randi Smart era.
- The Deacs have gone 15-2 at home versus regular-season, non-conference opponents since the start of the 2019 campaign.
- Field Hockey:
- Wake Forest returns to Kentner Stadium this weekend for a pair of matches against ACC foe Syracuse and non-conference opponent Kent State.
- The Deacs will take on the Orange on Friday at 6 p.m. on the ACC Network and battle the Flashes on Sunday at 12 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
- Track & Field/Cross Country:
- The women's cross country team will continue its fall slate with a trip to Madison, Wisc. this Friday, Sept. 27 as it competes in the Nuttycombe Invitational.
- The squad will look to build off of its victory in The Firetower Project Run in Boone, N.C. in the season opener on Sept. 13.

- Women's Golf:
- After a third place finish at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M two weeks ago, the Deacs are back in action early next week at the Windy City Classic in Chicago, Illinois. Wake will compete in the 15-team field Monday, September 30 and Tuesday, October 1.
