LAKE ELMO, Minn. - The Wake Forest women's golf team placed third as one of just four teams under par at the ANNIKA Intercollegiate presented by 3M.
Senior Carolina Chacarra led the way for the Demon Deacons, finishing the tournament 10-under-par. After another strong day at Royal Golf Club, Chacarra placed third in the elite field that featured some of the top teams in the country.
Chacarra was the low Demon Deacon on the leaderboard Wednesday, firing a final round 68 (-4) to solidify her spot near the top of the leaderboard. She had a strong stretch to start the day as she was 3-under-par through the first four holes.
After hitting the turn at 1-under-par, Chacarra closed the round strong, going bogey-free with three birdies over the final nine holes. This marks the 10th top-five finish of her career and 13th top-10 finish.

"We had a nice showing and I am especially happy for Carolina and the way she played all week. She has worked hard since her injury last spring. We have a lot of new faces and I look forward to continuing to learn their games and continue to improve for championships." - head coach Kim Lewellen
