Rujiranan Secures First Career Win at UNCG Collegiate

The tournament marked Rujiranan’s second-ever appearance as a Deac.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - In just her second competition as a Demon Deacon, freshman Chutimon Rujiranan shot three under to earn her first individual collegiate title by two strokes at the UNCG Collegiate at Forest Oak C.C. in Greensboro, N.C.
The Chonburi, Thailand native opened her tournament at one over par during round one, highlighted by six birdies. Rujiranan followed up a solid start with back-to-back rounds of two under par in rounds two and three, respectively.
Additionally, the freshman carded a clean 18 holes on day two and logged just two bogeys during her final round. She led the field with 13 birdies and excelled on par fours and par fives throughout the event.
The rookie made her debut for the Old Gold and Black as an individual at the Pirate Collegiate Classic in October. She carded a low round of 69 and shot two under to record her first career top-10 finish.
The Demon Deacons are back in action this upcoming weekend for their final fall outing at the Landfall Tradition at the Landfall CC in Wilmington, N.C.
