  • Women's Soccer: 
    • The Wake Forest women's soccer team (11-4-4, 4-3-3 ACC) downed the South Carolina Gamecocks 2-1 in the first round of the NCAA tournament (​10-5-5, 4-2-4 SEC) Friday night at Spry Stadium.
      • The Demon Deacons advanced to the round of 32 for the 16th time in program history and for the third time in the last five years. The Deacs now hold an overall record of 27-22-2 in the tournament, including an 18-2-1 mark in Winston-Salem.
      • Freshman forward Kylie Maxwell netted the Deacs' first of the night after a goalmouth scramble following a corner from redshirt sophomore Sierra Sythe.
      • The second goal of the night was similar to the first, with Sammi Wiemann poking it in 15 minutes into the second half for her first-career goal in a crucial moment. She became the 13th different Wake Forest player to find the back of the net this campaign.
    • The Demon Deacons now head to East Lansing, Mich. for a second-round matchup against No. 2-seed Michigan State on Thursday, Nov. 20 at DeMartin Stadium. With a win, the third-round match will also be hosted in East Lansing on Sunday, Nov. 23.
  • Cross Country: 
    • Following an impressive fifth place finish at the NCAA Southeast Regional, the Wake Forest women's cross country team was selected to compete in the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championships, as announced by the NCAA Selection Committee on Saturday afternoon.
    • This marks the women's 12th-ever appearance at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, and the first since 2006.
    • The squad will now head to Columbia, Mo. to compete at the NCAA Championships next Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Gans Creek course. The race will start at 10:20 a.m. and air nationally live on ESPNU.
  • Women's Basketball:
    • The Demon Deacons improved to 4-0 for the first time since the 2021-22 season with a 66-61 victory over Mercer on Thursday evening. 
    • Across four games, the Deacs have totaled 172 points in the paint including having over 40 in the last three games.
    • As Mercer, Wake Forest tallied 17 total assists on the night on 24 made baskets (71.0 percent). In four games this season, the Demon Deacons have totaled 69 assists on 105 field goals (65.7 percent) which would mark the highest percentage in the Megan Gebbia era.
    • The Demon Deacons continue the season-opening homestand next Thursday when the Deacs play host to NC Central at Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
      • Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
  • Volleyball:
    • Wake Forest volleyball (13-14, 7-9 ACC) finished its road trip on a victorious note during Sunday afternoon, defeating Boston College (16-12, 5-11 ACC) in a 3-1 decision.
    • With Sunday's win and a victory over Syracuse on Friday, Wake Forest earned its first 2-0 weekend within conference play this fall.
    • In the victory against Syracuse, senior setter Rian Baker surpassed 2,500 career assists
    • The Deacs will next head north to Virginia, facing both Commonwealth ACC programs next week. First, Wake Forest will match up with Virginia Tech on Friday evening before facing Virginia on Sunday afternoon.
