Wake Forest Begins December Slate Facing Oklahoma in Home ACC/SEC Challenge Contest

The Demon Deacons and Sooners will meet for the first time in Tuesday’s ACC/SEC Challenge matchup.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest men's basketball is set to host Oklahoma in a nationally-televised ACC/SEC Challenge showdown on Tuesday night at LJVM Coliseum. The Demon Deacons enter the contest with a 6-2 overall record following a pair of victories over CAA opponents last week.
The meeting between the Demon Deacons and Sooners will tip at 7 p.m. and be televised nationally on the ACC Network.
Last Time Out
Wake Forest picked up its third-straight win on Friday afternoon, defeating Northeastern 86-73.
Senior forward Tre'Von Spillers recorded his second double-double of the season to lead the way for the Demon Deacons, finishing the afternoon with 17 points and 10 rebounds. The Charleston, S.C., native also recorded three steals, two blocks, and two assists against the Huskies.
Sophomore guard Juke Harris also added 17 points as he went 10-of-11 from the free throw line. The Salisbury, N.C., native also totaled three rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Junior Myles Colvin and sophomore Sebastian Akins gave the Deacs a spark off the bench as the duo combined for 24 of the team's 35 bench points. Akins notched 13 points while going 6-of-8 from the field, along with three assists, three steals and a rebound. Meanwhile, Colvin added 11 points, three rebounds, and three steals.
Overall, Wake Forest recorded one of its best shooting games of the season as they went 32-of-58 (55.2 percent) from the field. Additionally, the Demon Deacons totaled 14 steals on 22 forced turnovers, leading to 26 points on the offensive end.
Defend Home Court
Wake Forest men's basketball has built one of college basketball's premier home court advantages over the last five seasons, as the Demon Deacons have collected a 66-10 at LJVM Coliseum since 2021—tied nationally for the fourth-most home wins over that period.
Deacs In The Non-Con
Wake Forest's 76.9 winning percentage in non-conference play since 2021-22 and the 40 victories in out of conference regular season action during that span are the third-best marks in the ACC.
Turning Them Over
Wake Forest's active defense has recorded 14 or more steals three times this season including hitting the mark in last Friday's victory over Northeastern. The Deacs are averaging 10.1 steals per game, second-most in the conference.

Sophomore guard Juke Harris has continued his elite play to begin the season, as the Salisbury, N.C., native leads the Demon Deacons in both scoring and rebounding.
Through this weekend's action, Harris is just one of seven players nationally averaging 19.5 points and seven rebounds per game while shooting 52 percent or better from the field.
