- Women's Basketball:
- In the ACC opener, the Wake Forest women's basketball team secured a 57-56 victory against Georgia Tech Sunday afternoon inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- The Demon Deacons won their ACC opener for the first time since the 2020-21 season, the same season the Deacs made the NCAA Tournament.
- The Deacs held the Yellowjackets to just 33.3 percent shooting from the field and 24.0 percent from three. Wake Forest came into the game ranking 11th nationally and first in the ACC, holding opponents to just 32.7 shooting from the field and also ranking 24th in scoring defense with just 53.8 points per game allowed.
- On the offensive end, the Demon Deacons were led by three double-figure performances including a game-high tying 14 points from both sophomore guard Aurora Sørbye and sophomore forward Grace Oliver. Sørbye also finished a perfect 5-of-5 at the free throw line including sinking the game-winning free throws with 4.6 seconds remaining in the game.
- With the help of a 9-2 start to non-conference play, the Demon Deacons are off to their best start in 15 years.
- The Deacs will look to start ACC play 2-0 for the first time since the 2012-13 season on Thursday when the Deacs host Miami for a 6 p.m. tipoff at LJVM Coliseum.
- In the ACC opener, the Wake Forest women's basketball team secured a 57-56 victory against Georgia Tech Sunday afternoon inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
- Field Hockey:
- After stellar 2025 campaigns, Mia Schoenbeck and Mia Montag were both named NFHCA All-Americans by the organization on Tuesday morning.
- Schoenbeck ranked third in the ACC and tied for sixth nationally with 51 points during the 2025 season. Her 23 goals ranked tied for the conference lead and tied for third in the country.
- Montag's 10 assists in ACC play led the league, with the next-closest student-athlete at six. Montag added five goals this season to go along with her 18 assists, providing a spark on both ends of the field for Wake Forest, as she finished ninth in the ACC with 28 points.
- Additionally, they were both named NFHCA First Team All-South Region, joined by teammate Ava Moore who was named Second Team All-South Region.
- After stellar 2025 campaigns, Mia Schoenbeck and Mia Montag were both named NFHCA All-Americans by the organization on Tuesday morning.
- Women's Soccer:
- Coming off of another NCAA tournament berth, Wake Forest women's soccer has announced two transfer signings for the 2026 season: Henley Tippins from Georgetown and Riley Cross from Penn State.
- An Atlanta, Ga.-native, Tippins comes to Winston-Salem with a wealth of experience after her four years at Georgetown. This past season, the forward started all 23 appearances and totaled nine goals, three assists and 21 points across 1,690 minutes on the pitch. Additionally, Tippins ranked second in the nation with seven game-winning goals.
- Ranked No. 25 nationally by TopDrawerSoccer among the 2025 recruiting class, Cross spent her freshman year with the Penn State Nittany Lions. The Chatham, N.J.-native made eight starts in 21 appearances in her rookie season, and totaled three assists in 921 minutes.

- This past Tuesday, three Demon Deacon alumni earned their LPGA Tour cards for the 2026 season: Lauren Walsh ('23), Mimi Rhodes ('24), Carolina Chacarra ('25). They join fellow Wake Forest alum Jennifer Kupcho ('19) on the tour to compete and play at some of the premier courses in the world.
- Walsh, Rhodes and Chacarra were all members of the 2023 national championship team, as well as the 2022 ACC Championship team.
