Hansen to Compete at USATF Cross Country Championships

The Hendersonville, N.C., native will participate in the USATF Men’s 10K Championship at 12:55 p.m. PST in Portland, Ore.
PORTLAND, Ore. – After an impressive season for the Demon Deacons, Wake Forest junior Rocky Hansen is set to continue his cross country season this Saturday at the USATF Cross Country Championships at the Glendoveer Golf Course in Portland, Ore.
The Hendersonville, N.C., native will be participating in the USATF Men's 10K Championship, which is scheduled for 12:55 p.m. PST., with the top six finishers qualifying for the World Cross Country Championships on Jan. 10 in Tallahassee, Fla.
The 10K Championship race will be streamed live on Runner Space, while live results will be updated throughout the meet here.
Hansen is coming off an incredible 2025 season, highlighted by a national runner-up finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships and being named ACC Men's Performer of the Year for the first time in program history. Hansen also became the first Demon Deacon to take home the ACC Individual Championship since 2001, while also claiming the NCAA Southeast Region Individual Championship.
Overall, Hansen was one of two Deacs to earn All-American, All-Region, and All-ACC honors this season.
Additionally, Hansen set multiple course records during his victories at the ACC Cross Country Championships and the Panorama Farms Invitational. Notably, Hansen broke the previous record at the E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park cross country course by 40 seconds during the ACC Championships.
