No. 9 Wake Forest Women's Golf Off to Solid Start in Conference Play

Wake Forest is second in the field with 38 total birdies.
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Through the first 36 holes of tournament play at the 2025 ACC Championships, Wake Forest is T4 with one round left of stroke play remaining.
Sophomore Macy Pate logged five birdies through round one and scored one under par through round one. Despite a bogey on hole 11 in the morning, the North Carolina native battled with a bounce back birdie and completed the day T13 and two strokes over par.
Making her first postseason appearance for the Deacons, freshman Chloe Kovelesky fought back from a difficult front nine during round one and finished one over par through the first 18 of the day. Kovelesky completed the day three strokes over par to sit T18 before the final round.
Following the first round, freshman Sarah Lydic stepped into the fifth spot for the Deacs and with back-to-back birdies to begin her competition, shot four under thru 11 holes. In her first conference championship appearance, the Ocean View, Del. native carded Wake Forest's lowest round of the day at two under.
With three birdies on the back nine to begin her second round, junior Anne-Sterre den Dunnen finished her first day of competition T18. Den Dunnen birdied on her first hole of round two and recorded an under par back nine during round two to put herself in the top-25 of the field.
Graduate Sky Sload shook off the nerves of hole one of round one and notched a birdie to set herself up well through the front nine. She carded back-to-back birdies on the first two holes of the back nine to finish 75 (+3).
Final Round
The third round of three will begin at 8:50 a.m. ET. Wake Forest will be paired with No. 13 North Carolina and No. 37 Cal. Live scoring will be available all day via Golf Stat.
