The Deacs are one of 19 teams to have made each of the last nine NCAA Tournaments.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The Wake Forest women's tennis team was selected to the 2025 NCAA Tournament and will face Pepperdine in the first round of the Knoxville regional on Friday, May 2 at the Robert L. Barksdale Tennis Stadium.
The winner between the Demon Deacons and the Waves will face off against the winner of Tennessee and Elon on Saturday, May 3.
Wake Forest, who currently holds a 15-13 record, including a win over SMU during the second round of the ACC Tournament, extended their NCAA Tournament streak to nine-consecutive appearances under the direction of head coach Jeffrey Wyshner. The Demon Deacons are just one of 19 schools to accomplish this feat, as well as one of six ACC programs to do so.
The nine-consecutive tournament appearances also matches the Deacs' longest tournament appearance streak in program history when they appeared in nine-straight tournaments from 1994 to 2002.

From Coach Wyshner
"Very excited for this team to have made the NCAA Tournament. Every single win this year was necessary for us to be in again. For a team that came into the year with no returning seniors and having graduated last year's top three, this is a major accomplishment. This year's team has worked better and better in practice, and ultimately, that made all the difference in some big wins in the final couple of weeks. I'm excited to play Pepperdine on Friday and hopefully be playing again on Saturday. At this point in the year, you really treasure the opportunity to spend an extra few days with these players with whom you've been through so much the last nine months. Go Deacs!." - head coach Jeff Wyshner
