Drew Langston Takes Over as Director of Volleyball Operations

The Kentucky native will be entering his third season on the Wake Forest staff this fall.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest volleyball head coach Jeff Hulsmeyer announced an update to his staff on Monday, as Drew Langston will take over the role of Director of Volleyball Operations. He will manage all day-to-day aspects of the program, including administrative, statistical, logistical and recruiting areas.
Langston rejoined the Demon Deacons this past August as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to a year on the women's volleyball staff at Elon University, he initially entered as a volunteer coach for Wake Forest during the 2022-23 campaign. His first run with the Deacs in fall 2022 saw the team piece together a 17-14 overall record while earning 10 victories on their home floor.
"I have been so impressed by Drew's work ethic, character and attention to detail during this transition," said Hulsmeyer. "I am so thankful that he has agreed to stay at Wake Forest and join our staff as our Director of Operations. Drew is well known within the Wake Forest Athletics family and his knowledge and understanding of Wake volleyball is invaluable. I have already become completely confident with Drew and trust his ability to get things done. I will continue to lean on him in this role for us, and I can't be more grateful to continue to work with him."
