Wake Forest Athletics Celebrates Tremendous Achievements at 2025 Black & Golden Globe Awards

The annual celebration highlights the athletic and academic accomplishments of Wake Forest student-athletes.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Celebrations were in full effect on Thursday evening, as Wake Forest Athletics recapped a year of highlights and memories at the annual Black & Golden Globes, which was held this year at LJVM Coliseum.
The event was full of pageantry and excitement encapsulating a year that has already included women's soccer earning the program's first-ever National Championship appearance, men's tennis being a dominate No. 1 team with an ITA National Championship and ACC regular season title, men's soccer and men's cross country winning ACC Championships, baseball reaching the 30-win mark, women's golf advancing to the finals of the ACC Tournament after defeating No. 1 Stanford, men's golf and women's tennis securing NCAA Championship appearances and men's basketball earning a double bye in the ACC Tournament with its highest regular season finish since 2008-09.
Below are the winners of this year's awards at the Black & Golden Globes. Additional awards such as the Arnold Palmer Male Athlete of the Year and Marge Crisp Female Athlete of the Year will be announced at a later date:
Ron and Linda Wellman Life Teammate Award
Awarded annually, the Life Teammate Award will recognize a male and female student-athlete who best represents the characteristics of being a life teammate. Each team selects one nominee for the award.
This year's winners are:
Edwin G. Wilson Scholar-Athlete of the Year
