Demon Deacons Close Regular Season at Louisville

Wake Forest and the Cardinals enter the final weekend of ACC play at 14-13 in the league.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Wake Forest baseball team closes the regular season with a three-game ACC series against Louisville starting tomorrow night.
First pitch from Jim Patterson Stadium is set for 6 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, with the series set to conclude at noon on Saturday on ACC Network.

Thursday marks the 33rd all-time meeting between the two schools, with the Demon Deacons trailing the series, 10-21-1, dating back to 2015.
Hit Parade
The Demon Deacons have seen productivity up and down the lineup, with all nine hitters in the starting lineup recording a hit in the same game on four occasions, doing so against Elon (2/25), Notre Dame (3/7), Coastal Carolina (3/11) and most recently against Virginia Tech (3/29). Wake Forest has doubled the 2024 squad, which achieved the feat just two times in 60 contests.
Houston Is The Heartbeat
Junior Marek Houston is second on the team with 21 multi-hit efforts on the year. In games where Houston has at least two hits, the Demon Deacons are 17-4, as opposed to just 17-14 in games with one hit or less. Throughout his career, Houston has recorded 52 multi-hit efforts, with Wake compiling a 40-12 record. Houston is the only Deac to start in every game this season, recording a hit in 40 of 52 contests. With 52 RBIs on the year, Houston enters the weekend just outside the top 10 in the ACC. The Nokomis, Fla. native tied the program record with 10 RBI in a single game with his performance against Notre Dame to open the series.
